Parade of Homes

The Parade of Homes is held in mid February every year. Over 23,000 people come to view this spectacular showcase of homes which offer the latest in design. These homes vary from the low $100,000's to $1-2 million and offer a wealth of ideas for building and decorating for everyone.

Dixie College Invitational Art Show

One of the finest art shows in the west and is shown at the Graff Fine Arts Center on the Dixie State College campus. Art from artists from the western states are invited to showcase their art. Admission is free.


APRIL

Annual St George Art Festival
Easter Weekend

This event known as the "Friendliest Festival in the West" is held the Friday and Saturday of Easter Weekend and hosts a wonderful variety of art and artists from all over the west. You'll find food, entertainment and special children's fun. This street show is held on Main Street between St George Blvd and Tabernacle.

Hurricane Easter Car Show

Held at the Hurricane High School campus this show features over 350 cars on display and includes all models, makes and years of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

Dixie Downs Horse Race

The St George Lions Club sponsors two Saturdays of horse racing in April of each year. Races are held at the Washington County Fair Park, 15 miles east of St George on SR-9. Sanctioned by the Utah Racing Commission, races for both short distance and Quarter Horses and longer distance thoroughbreds are featured.

JUNE

St George Area Chamber Business Expo

The largest business event in Southern Utah with more than 100 area businesses showcasing products and services conveniently under one roof at the Dixie Convention Center. Featured businesses are those who sell, distribute or manufacture any type of product or service. The Business Expo is open to the public and free of charge.

AUGUST

Washington County Fair

Annually held the 1st week in August at the state-of-the-art Washington County Fair Park, this family fun event features live entertainment, carnival rides, games, festive food, award-winning fruit crops and livestock exhibits. All you could expect a fair to be and more including a parade to kick off the event.

Enterprise Corn Festival

The Enterprise area is noted for its productive farms and gardens. Excellent corn is grown both commercially and privately in this area, and the people take pride in their crop. When it's time to harvest, they celebrate at the end of August in the town square with a weekend selling fresh, succulent corn on the cob, playing games selling crafts, exhibiting quilts and plain old fashioned fun.

Join the Lions Club for the annual rodeo celebration at the Sun Bowl in St George. Approved by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy's Association, this wild weekend extravaganza is held the second weekend in September. Great entertainment for all rodeo fans.

Santa Clara Swiss Days

On the last Friday and Saturday in September, the small town of Santa Clara celebrates its Swiss heritage who settled the town in 1861. The event offers an array of events including historical displays, a fun run, craft and food booths, games and a parade.

OCTOBER

St George Marathon

More than 4,000 runners come from all over the world to participate in the 13th largest marathon in the US. It begins in the majestic Pine Valley Mountains and descends nearly 1,600 feet through scenic sandstone cliffs and ancient lava flows to the center of St George City. Runner's World lists it as one of the "10 Most Scenic and Fastest Marathons."

A very popular competition for thousands of athletes 50 and better from all over the world, which promote worldwide peace, health, friendship and fun. Offering 26 sports, healthy lifestyle seminars, 9 critical health tests, socials and spectacular ceremonies.

Cycling, softball, swimming, tennis, bowling, racquetball, track & field, basketball, golf, horseshoes, table tennis, duathlon (cycling & running), basketball free-tree and 3-point shoot, soccer, volleyball and road racing events are all included in the sporting competitions. NOVEMBER

Jubilee of Trees

Tour a winter wonderland of beautiful and uniquely, decorated Christmas trees which have been created and donated by area organizations, businesses and families. Enjoy a teddy bear picnic, fashion show, gift booths, live entertainment and more. Proceeds benefit the Dixie Regional Medical Center.

DECEMBER

Dixie Rotary Bowl

This is one of the top-rated Junior College football games in America. The St George Rotary Club sponsors this event and invites the two best junior college teams available to play head-to-head in the Hansen Stadium the first Saturday in December. Bowl festivities include a golf tournament, banquet with a speaker from the sporting world, marching band competitions and a parade.

Tuachan's Festival of Lights
Thousands of twinkling lights greet you as you approach the parking lot of the Tuachan Amphitheater. This annual event takes place every evening except Sunday from Thanksgiving until New Year’s Day at the Tuachan Center for the Arts in Ivins. The show features a touching, live nativity scene and re-enactment of the birth of Jesus. The scene and the show definitely inspires you in the true spirit of Christmas.

First Night
December 31st
Main Street, St. George City's New Year's Eve Celebration. The best in in family-friendly fun and entertainment. Non-alcoholic, community celebration which includes street mimes and clowns, games for children, swing music, hip hop tunes and more filling the streets with festive music. Great food can be found at the food booths. Spectacular fireworks welcome in the New Year in great style.
